Miss England on the hunt for glamour

MISS England has been spotted in Warrington – on the hunt for the town’s most glamorous girls.
Current Miss England Jessica Linley took a special shopping trip to Golden Square to encourage local girls to enter the coveted Miss Cheshire 2011 competition as next year’s final will be held, for the first time, in Warrington.
The competition will see finalists from across the county take part in a full catwalk show and glamorous awards ceremony at Warrington’s Parr Hall.
The winner of Miss Cheshire 2011 will, among other prizes, win £250 cash and a place in the Miss England Final where she will have a chance to go onto Miss World 2011, where the main prize is $100,000.
Miss Cheshire will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of Jessica, a law student from Nottingham, who is also treasurer of the university’s law society and finance officer for the Athletic Union, proving to the judging panel that she was not just a pretty face.
She said: “The competition is such a fantastic opportunity for local girls from Warrington regardless of their background or previous modelling experience. The opportunities since winning Miss England have been amazing and I was so proud to represent England in the Miss World 2010 in China.”
The competition is open to all local girls aged 17 and 24 who must never have been married or have children.
Contestants for Miss Cheshire have until December 31 to enter via the Miss Cheshire website on www.missenglandcheshire.co.uk.
