Pictures of terror raid

POLICE have today released CCTV pictures of a terrifying raid on a newsagents’ shop at Warrington in a bid to track down the three thugs involved.
The late night raid was almost a month ago at a shop in Myddleton Lane, Winwick but it left a 56-year-old woman shop assistant badly shaken and traumatised.
Detectives want to track down the raiders who they believe to be professional criminals.
The robbery took place around 10pm on November 19, shortly after the shop had closed.
Three men dressed in dark clothing and wearing balaclavas forced their way into the shop and confronted the lone women assistance.
They demanded money from the till and stole the woman’s handbag before leaving in a dark coloured car.
The CCTV pictures show the offenders during the course of the robbery.
Police now believe the car used by the offenders may have been a dark coloured new style BMW stolen in a car-jacking at Rainhill earlier the same day.
They hope their renewed appeal for help from the public might lead to information regarding the identity of the offenders.
Detectives would like to talk to anyone who witnessed the original offence or has any information about the getaway car – particularly if they saw it in the Winwick area.
Anyone who can help is asked to contact DC Mike Evans at Warrington CID on 0845 458 0000. Alternatively, information can be left anonymously on the Crimestoppers hotline 0800 555 111.
