X-FACTOR finalist Treyc Cohen who was controversially knocked out of the hit TV show, wowed the crowds in Warrington town centre as she switched on this year’s Christmas lights.
The singer performed four songs and even led the crowd in a Christmas sing-a-long with the full cast from the evening’s show. Despite the cold weather, nearly 3,000 people turned up to the Old Marketplace to see the X Factor star perform. Hundreds more watched the show on the big screen in Bridge St, making this year’s light switch on one of the best attended ever.
“This is my first time performing in Warrington and the crowd is fantastic”, Treyc said. “There is a really festive atmosphere and I’m really amazed at how many people have turned up!”
The crowd was also entertained by former X Factor hopefuls Princes and Rogues, local boy band The Mend and a special preview from Warrington Wolves Panto Aladdin featuring Warrington Wolves player Jon Clarke, who is currently celebrating his testimonial year.
Treyc was joined on stage by the Golden Square Christmas Decoration competition winner Ella Pollard and competition winner Holly Harker to help her turn on the Christmas lights.

Pictures show Treyc on stage with the Mayor and Mayoress of Warrington and presenter Pete Pinnington along with Ella Pollard and Holly Harker and childrens’ favourite Bob the Builder and boy band Princes and Rogues
