IDEAS on the future of Walton Hall Estate will be discussed at a public meeting tomorrow (Thursday).
Members of the public are invited to attend from 6.30pm to 7.30pm at St John’s Community Hall, Old Chester Road, Walton (opposite the church).
Walton Parish Council has arranged for the Open Hour and parishioners and members of the public are welcome.
Warrington Borough Council has established an independent body, Walton Estate Advisory Group, to report back with options on the development of the estate.
The meeting will allow people to find out more about the advisory group and allow the parish council to collect views and ideas for the group.
Walton Parish Council meeting will start after the hour, at 7.30pm.

  1. Very good.. but other than reading about in on here today (thanks Gary) there has been NOTHING anywhere else to inform Walton parishoners, other local residents or other interested parties that the public meeting is taking place…… can’t recall reading anything in the last Walton Parish Council newsletter either. Well with one days notice I can’t go as I’ve made other arrangements and heres hoping that everyone who does want to go reads WWW news eh 🙂

  2. MY APPOLOGIES to Walton Parish Council… the meeting IS in your newsletter under a bold heading and large paragraph about the Walton Hall Estate Development. Ooops how on earth did I miss that… sorry…..

  3. Just a thought. We have a large19th century family home in town and for years it has been used for ‘Mystery Weekends’. Guests pay to stay at the home and participate in murder mysteries, a la Agatha Christie. The house gets to stay intact and in period but it also creates revenue. Walton Hall would be a perfect setting. I just don’t know if Brits are as ‘into’ this as they are in the US.
