Benefits bus is back in town

THE successful benefits bus is back in town today (Wednesday) and tomorrow to offer help and advice to Warrington people.
The mobile service is parked outside the market and people can drop in for advice or to collect a claim form. The service is accessible and no appointment is needed.
This month the borough council’s benefits take-up team is also using the bus to support Muir Group Housing Association. It will be visiting Montrose Close and Arran Close in Fearnhead on Friday (October 22).
The benefits bus has been travelling around the region for three years and has a successful record. On its last visit in August customers who applied for help collectively qualified for benefits of more than £70,000, with one Great Sankey couple receiving more than £6,000 in extra cash.
