The newly formed Walton Estate Advisory Group has met for the first time when the Chair of Walton Parish Council Yousuf Shaikh was elected to chair the group which has been set up to advise Warrington Borough Council’s Executive Board on the future development of Walton Hall and Gardens.
Its membership includes the Friends of Walton Gardens, residents from the Area Boards, Walton Parish Council, The Bridgewater Canal Trust, The Walton Lea Project and Visit Chester and Cheshire as well as council members and officers .
From the outset the group wishes to ensure that it reflects the views of the many residents, visitors and interested parties.
The group will be providing opportunities throughout its deliberations for members of the public to express their views and submit their ideas for the sustainable future of the Hall, Gardens and associated buildings.
