Police hunt brutal robber

DETECTIVES in Warrington are appealing for witnesses after a man was brutally assaulted and robbed and left with a broken ankle.
The robbery took place about 11pm last Friday night (Sept 10) when a 26 year old man was walking along Priestly Street, when just past the Kwik Fit garage he was approached by a man who demanded money from him. He then immediately punched him in the face, causing him to fall over.
The attacker then stamped on his ankle causing it to break. The offender began to walk away, but when he saw the victim about to use his mobile phone, took it off him and ran away towards Leicester Street.
The offender was a white man, about 5’11” tall and of average build, with short fair hair, aged in his late teens or early twenties. He was wearing a grey top and bottoms.
