A FAMILY firm specialising in baked potatoes is celebrating after achieving a five star hygiene rating from Warrington Borough council.
Eating outlet Baked Potato Too in Golden Square’s Old Market Place was awarded five out of a possible five stars after a recent inspection by the council’s food safety team.
This signifies the firm has upheld the highest standards since it opened two years ago.
Married couple Ron and Kay Garner are joint owners of the business and have developed it into an all family affair as daughter Casey, aged 17, and son Lucas, aged 20, now also work at the eatery.
Kay said: “Ron and I have worked together for all of our married life – and it obviously works well as we will be celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary next year!
“We’re delighted to have achieved the five star rating again for hygiene and have had a lot of support from the council to help us keep the highest standards for our customers.
“The whole family enjoy working at the Old Market Place and seeing our customers come back time and time again. The certificate now has pride of place on our wall so all our customers – new and old – can see our family’s fantastic achievement!”
Golden Square Shopping Centre marketing manager Ian Cox said: “This is a great achievement for a small family firm and levels of high customer service such as this should be applauded. It’s fantastic to see their hard work acknowledged.”
