Hospital lottery
WINNING numbers in the weekly lottery run by the League of Friends of Warrington Hospital were 8, 11, 13 and 14. The jackpot prize went unclaimed and will be rolled-over to next week. A £25 consolation prize was won by a hospital visitor.

Changing places
COUN Peter Carey has been appointed Warrington Borough Council’s representative on the Boteler Education Trust, changing places with ex-councillor Peter Walker who will now be a co-opted representative on the body.

Teacher’s award
DAVINA Woods, head teacher of Grappenhall Heys Primary School, has been named “head teacher of the year, North of England Teaching Awards.” Matthew Boot, an assistant support teacher at the same school won in his category.

Hog roast
A CHARITY hog roast and hoedown takes place at Burtonwood Catholic Club tonight (Saturday) to raise money for Clatterbridge Hospital. It starts at 8pm.

Heritage days
ST Barnabas’s Church, Lovely Lane, Warrington is holding open days today (Saturday) and tomorrow as part of Heritage Open Days. Registers, vestments, silverware, old pictures and other memorabilia will be on show.
