Car park changes looming

2

CHANGES are to come into force on the car park at Warrington’s Pyramid Arts Centre to make it more readily available to patrons of the centre.
At present, the car park is operational Monday to Saturday, between 7am and 6pm with a maximum stay of three hours.
But from October 4 there will be a maximum stay of just one hour, with no return within two hours
Failure to display a valid permit or parking in contravention to the conditions of the car park may result in a Penalty Charge Notice of £50 or £70 being issued. The amount payable is dependant on the severity of the contravention, which can be reduced by 50 per cent if payment is received within 14 days of the issue of the Penalty Charge Notice or within 21 days for Penalty Charge Notices issued by post.

  1. Great…more readily available for patrons eh? Tell me exaclty what the center offers to patrons between 7am and 6pm? NOTHING AT ALL until 5pm and then its youth classes…whome I presume will not make use of the car park. Now this does not affect me in any way shape or form, but just shows the mentality of people with nothing better to do with the time on their hands implementing changes to justify their overpaid job so that they can bee seen to make “changes”, so heres my vote for first step towards £50million cut…the person who came up with this idea, Did you look at the pyramid schedule before throwing this one in? no!

  2. Are many people likely to use a car park which ONLY has a 1 hour stay before you get fined ???? I think I’d an alternative car park just incase as 1 hour soon passes 🙁

I would imagine that the ouly people who will dare to use it are those who are issued with parking permits… who are they then?…. council employees maybe now that they are getting stick for using two floors of the multi storey carpark for 60p a day when the rest of us would have to pay over £5+ 🙂
