Armed raiders in cosh attack

ARMED raiders burgled a house at Warrington – attacking the terrified occupant with a cosh.
They stole cash from the house and then escaped on foot.
Detectives are appealing for witnesses following the raid on a house in Alder Lane at about 11.30pm on Friday, September 3.
Four men broke into the house by forcing the front door. Once inside, they went upstairs to the victim’s bedroom, punched him and hit him with a cosh.
The 55-year-old was left with extensive bruising to the face and badly shocked.
Police say the offenders say one of the offenders was black, about 5ft 11 inches tall, of stocky build and wearing a black coat with the hood up with a scarf around his face.
The second man was white, about 5ft 10 inches tall, also of stocky build and similarly clad.
A third man was white, of stocky build, wearing dark clothing and also his a scarf over his face.
There is no description of the fourth man.
