Shop girl puts thief to flight

DETECTIVES in Warrington are appealing for witnesses after a shop girl put a robber to flight in the town centre..
At about 4.20 pm a man entered Greenhalghs Craft Bakery in Warrington, at the rear of B&M in the town centre.
Approaching the woman member of staff in the shop he at first asked to change a £20 note. When informed that she didn’t have enough change, he produced a knife, threatened her and demanded money.
The woman refused to give him cash and he fled from the store.
Police say the man was17-18 years-old, 5ft 8 inches tall, of slim build, with short fair hair, wearing beige combat trousers and a pale blue t-shirt.
He had a distincitive tattoo on the inside of his right forearm in the form of a circle with a Y shape in it.
