Beer festival will aid charities

A RANGE of local and international charities will be supported by this year’s Oktoberfest – the annual beer festival organised by Warrington Rotary Club.
The event takes place October 21-23 and Rotary are seeking sponsors.
One way to support the event is by sponsoring a barrel – and another is to sponsor drinking glasses.
In each case, the sponsors name is prominently displayed on the barrel or the glass.
This year’s is the 14th Oktoberfest and so far £142,000 has been raised from previous festivals.
Oktoberfest 14 will be supporting Brainwave NW, Active Hope, Life Education, St. Joseph’s Family Centre, Warrington Young Musician Competition and the YMCA Furniture Project, plus Raising the Roof For Ghana (building a village resource centre) and Sarnelli House for children suffering HIV/AIDS in Thailand.
