FOUR Pekinese dogs are needed in Warrington to help a sinking ship!
Centenary Theatre Company will be performing its latest musical “Titanic” in November and needs canine support to join the cast.
After a recruitment campaign the group welcomed some new men to the company and rehearsals are now underway for the show. Now they are looking for four canine stars.
Maria Dumencic, from the marketing team, said: “One of the upper class passengers brings with her four Pekinese dogs and so our next challenge is to find a willing owner who will allow their dogs to be on stage for a brief time during our show week.”
Members are no strangers to having animals as part of the show. Memorable parts have been played by Bullseye in their production of Oliver and Sandy in the show Annie.
Maria said the cast is very eager to welcome the four new additions to this show. Anyone who can help should contact Clare on 07771878879.
The group’s next show “The Odd Couple” will be performed at The Brindley Theatre in Runcorn from September 7 to 11. “Titanic the Musical” will be performed at the same venue from November 16 to 20. Tickets are available from www.centenarytheatre.co.uk or the box office on 0151 907 8360.
