Police surgeries
POLICE are holding surgeries at the Age Concern day centre in Jackson Avenue, Culcheth and at Birchwood Community Church today (Saturday), between 10.30am and 12 noon.

Hospital lottery
WINNING numbers in the weekly lottery run by the League of Friends of Warrington Hospital were 8, 11, 13 and 15 – but the jackpot prize of £819 went unclaimed and will be rolled over to next week. A £25 consolation prize was awarded to a hospital visitor.

Scout hut
PLANS for a new scout hut in Hall Road, Woolston have been approved by borough council planners. The facility will replace an old hut which is to be demolished.

Office scheme
PROPOSALS have been drawn up to convert farm buildings in Walnut Tree Far, Northwich Road, Lower Stretton into offices.

Bowlers wanted
INDOOR short mat bowling sessions will be held at the Fairfield and Howley Community Project, on Fairfield Street, Warrington this winter, if enough interested people come forward. Anyone who wants to take part should call Jean Pownell on 01925 345251.
