WARRINGTON is to stage a unique advertising campaign in London to coincide with the Wolves’ return to Wembley in the Carnegie Challenge Cup Final.
The campaign has been created by a partnership of tourism group Visit Chester and Cheshire, business promotion group Warrington and Co and the borough council.
There will be eye-catching posters within London Euston station featuring Wolves players.
The club itself is pleased to be involved in the campaign as it will help spread the word on Rugby League.
A club spokesman said: “The Wolves are extremely proud to have first team players featured within this.”
The marketing campaign will launch the week of August 16 and run for two weeks, including the Carnegie Challenge Cup Final.
The posters will be at mid-level in Euston tube station, with 10 panels on the up-escalator from Northern and Victoria lines.
Four additional adverts will also be situated within the tube station.
The Wolves spokesman added: “With the sport of Rugby League constantly looking for ways to enhance its coverage and spread the game throughout the London area this advertising campaign around such a prestigious competition will go a long way to raising the profile of Rugby League.
