Street Carnival
THE annual Scott Street Carnival will take place at St Peter’s Way Park, Warrington tonight from 7pm. Attractions include welly throwing, bowling, tombola, raffle, barbeque and a disco in the Albion pub. All proceeds are for Green Lane Special School.

Hospital lottery
WINNING numbers in the weekly lottery run by the League of Friends of Warrington Hospital were 7, 10, 14 and 16. The jackpot prize went unclaimed and will be rolled over to next week. A £25 consolation prize went to a member of hospital staff.

Fun day
A FAMILY fun day, organised by Golden Gates Housing, take place at Bewsey Community Park on Tuesday, starting at 11am. There will be go karts, face painting, games and refreshments, as well as stands giving information about housing services, energy efficiency, etc.

Batty about bats
RANGERS at Sankey Valley Park are to lead a walk next Thursday to give local people an opportunity to see bats. The walks starts from the Ferry Inn car park at 7.45pm

Supper night
MEMBERS of Penketh and Sankey Garden Society are holding a supper night at the Meeting Lane Community Centre, Penketh on September 2. There will be a hot pot supper followed by a magician. Details are available from 01925 729664.
