RESIDENTS of Daresbury are hoping for good weather during the Creamfields music festival – so that village streets are not strewn with mud.
Coun Celia Jordan told Stockton Heath Parish Council that she had been to a meeting of the parish council in Daresbury to discuss the August event.
“They are hoping for good weather as mud can be a real problem,” she said.
Arrangements for access and security would be similar to previous years. There would be an emergency hotline for people to report any problems.
Coun Peter Walker said: “There was a problem last year with people arriving on Friday night with their camping stuff, and not being able to get into the site until Saturday. People had to sleep in their cars.”
He hoped the same problem would not occur this year.
