Where to get a nice cup of tea

VISITORS to Lymm on a Sunday afternoon have a new venue to enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and a cake.
Lymm Youth and Community Centre opens every Sunday from 2pm to 4.30pm for teas, which are proving popular with both locals and visitors.
Centre secretary Neville Davies said: “Right next to the beautiful Bridgewater Canal, the centre is the only tea room open on a Sunday and visitors stop from all over the country to enjoy a drink and some tasty home-made cakes.
“Every weekend, visitors leave positive comments in our visitor book, often saying how the teas are ‘much needed after a nice Sunday stroll,’ complimenting the volunteers for their ‘friendly and welcoming service’ and praising the centre.”
The teas are providing fundraising opportunities for Lymm Youth and Community Association. Other charities and groups such as PTAs, Scouts and Guides can staff the stall to raise money for their organisations.
Mr Davies said: “The association asks for a small donation towards the running costs of the centre and the group can keep the profits raised on the day.”
