Police hunt mountain bike robbers

POLICE are hunting two men who used mountain bikes to carry out a street robbery at Warrington.
The pair rode up to a 26-year-old man in Froghall Lane, grabbed him by the throat and threatened him with a knife.
They they search his pockets, grabbed a small about of cash and drove off in the direction of the Rock Oil works.
The victim was not hurt but was badly shaken in the incident shortly after 11.30pm on Wednesday, June 30.
The first assailant was in his late 20’s with short brown hair and a prominent nose. He was wearing a black Nike tracksuit with silver piping across the top. He was riding a silver mountain bike.
The second man was also in his late 20’s, around 5 feet 8 inches tall. He was wearing a dark coloured baseball cap and was riding a yellow mountain bike.
Police in Warrington are appealing for anyone who may have seen the two men on mountain bikes in the vicinity on Wednesday evening, to contact them on 0845 4580000.
