A WARRINGTON sales director has been appointed managing director after he doubled a company’s turnover to £1.4 million.
WiFi provider Airangel, which specialises in guest internet access for the hospitality and conferencing industries, has appointed Dean Wilkinson (right) to the post.
The Warrington-based company reports a 130 per cent increase in internet connections, with more than 6,650,000 hours of internet time enabled during 2009/10.
During the year the company also moved into new sectors such as sports stadia, car showrooms and yacht clubs, and welcomed additional hotel chains to its service.
Mr Wilkinson said: “We’re part of a mobile age and the internet is a daily part of our lives, so much so, that guest internet access is an essential component for many businesses, whether it’s allowing staff to hot desk or giving hotel guests access to online services.
“In the last year we’ve expanded our reach into new sectors and are continually helping clients to realise the full revenue, customer service and marketing benefits that WiFi systems can deliver.”
