A WARRINGTON businesswoman has beaten international competition to win a top industry prize.
Ursula Hirschberg, purchasing manager for Warrington-based Nutrition Point, received the Royal Mail Prize – the Chartered Institute of Purchasing Supply’s top accolade – at a ceremony in Birmingham.
The institute’s students gathered for their graduation ceremony and Ursula was honoured with the prize after achieving the highest aggregate mark of the 1,186 graduates from around the world.
She studied for the qualification for more than two years and was “thrilled” to win the award. She studied at weekends, fitting the work around family commitments and her hobby of horse carriage driving. She recently won a bronze medal in the World Carriage Driving Championships.
Ursula said: “These two achievements are very different, but I’m equally proud of both.”
