INTERNATIONAL concert pianist Stephen Hough – who lived in Warrington during his youth – is to play a concert at Lymm.
He will give a Chopin recital in aid of the Lymm Festival on Saturday, July 3 at Lymm United Reformed Church.
Stephen has appeared at the same venue on several previous occasions and regularly returns to Warrington to perform.
The recital will start at 2pm and tickets cost £12.
Stephen was brought up in Thelwall, attending the local infants school, before leaving the Warrington area.
Another big name artist to appear at the Lymm Festival is cabaret singer Barb Jungr, who will appear at Lymm Golf Club at 8pm on Sunday, June 27.
Critics have compared her to Nina Simone and Peggy Lee and she has been described as “a British Edith Piaf”.
She will be accompanied at the piano by local resident Alan Williams.
