Motor cyclist dies after crash

A 29-year-old motor cyclist has died in hospital from injuries he received in a crash on Hollings Lane, Winwick near Warrington.
The accident occurred outside Hollings Park Hospital at 6.50pm on Friday, June 18 and involved a blue Kawasaki Ninja motor cycle and a silver Vauxhall Vectra driven by a 30-year-old man from Bedford.
The male motor cyclist, from the Warrington area, died in hospital the following day.
Police say at the time of the collision, the motorcycle was travelling from the direction of Birchwood toward the A49 Newton Road when it collided with the rear of the Vauxhall Vectra which had emerged from Hollins Park.
The car driver was uninjured.
Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision, or who can offer any information that may assist the investigation, to contact Sergeant Neil Farnworth at Northern Traffic Investigation Unit on 0845 458 0000.
