Fancy dress fundraising

STUDENTS at Priestley College, Warrington, donned fancy dress as part of a fundraising drive for its Mozambique Appeal.
During the summer a group from the college will join forces with the Habitat for Humanity charity and travel to the African country to help build houses for children orphaned by Aids.
During the past few weeks fundraising has been held towards the trip including paying a pound to dress in costume and running cake stalls. Expedition leader Peter Butterfield also had his head shaved and bleached, and his legs waxed.
More than £750 was raised towards the fund, which now stands at about £8.000.
Peter said: “Since we put forward the idea of visiting Mozambique, the college community has really got behind the project.
“We are all now very much looking forward to the expedition and doing all we can while we are there to help with this very worthwhile humanitarian project.”
Some of the students dressed up to help raise funds.
