A BUSINESS Enterprise Fair at Warrington Market attracted interest from across the region.
Market managers from eight neighbouring markets came to have a look at the event with the idea of running a similar event in their markets.
They travelled from Leicester, Wrexham, Preston, Wigan, Stockport, Owestry, Ellesmere Port & Neston and Congleton.
The event, launched by Warrington’s Mayor John Joyce marked the start of European SME (small and medium sized enterprises) week designed to promote entrepreneurs and help small businesses overcome the problems and challenges they experience on the road to success.
Various support agencies who exhibited at the event reported receiving lots of new enquires.
The event was also supported by school youth enterprise projects from across the town.
Market manager Stephen Pickering said: “I was surprised by the number of people who came from ouside of Warrington. The postcodes on our free prize draw indicated Liverpool, Chester, Manchester, Wirral and further afield. It proved to be a great success.”
