FIRE crews were called to a house at Latchford, Warrington today after a blaze broke out.
The fire, in a first floor bedroom at a house in Bridgewater Avenue, was out by the time firefighters reached the scene. But extensive smoke damage was caused and crews used ventilation equipment to clear smoke from the property.
Hardwired smoke detectors were fitted at the house and did raise the alarm. But crews carried out a home safety assessment before leaving.
In another incident, fire crews were called to Moore Nature Reserve where two suspicious fires were started. One was near Birchwood Pool and the other near Lapwing Lake.
