Driver dies after motorway crash

A LORRY driver has died of injuries sustained in a horrific crash on the M56 near Warrington.
The 54-year-old man was taken to Warrington Hospital after the crash on the westbound carriageway near Lymm.
Doctors fought to save him, but he died in the hospital. He was from Wiltshire.
There was traffic chaos after the incident, which involved a heavy lorry overturning shortly after 1pm yesterday.
Police sealed off the slip road from the M56 westbound to the M6 northbound carriageway and advised motorists to try and avoid the area.
