Police seek talent on four legs!

0

POLICE are on the hunt for new, four-legged talent.
Members of the police dog training unit are specifically looking for Springer Spaniels, Cocker Spaniels, Collies, Labradors and Labrador/Springer cross breeds, to train as drugs dogs.
The dogs should be of good nature, non-aggressive and naturally playful and inquisitive. They should be aged between 12 months and two years and both dogs and bitches would be welcome.
Anyone in Warrington with a dog that needs re-homing should contact Cheshire Police and they will come and visit and meet the dog.
The team is also appealing to public, businesses and land owners, as they are looking for new training venues in the area. They need open land areas, fields, wooded areas and buildings, both empty and occupied. All of these provide diverse environments for search and tracking exercises.
Anyone who can help should contact Sgt Louise Deung, or PC Greg Taylor at Cheshire Police Tactical Dog Training Unit on 01244 612681/612682
