Witnesses sought after collision

WITNESSES are being sought following a collision between a van and a pedal cyclist at Stockton Heath, Warrington.
The collision occurred on Monday (May 24) at around 10.30pm on Ackers Road, near to its junction with Mill Lane and the Cantilver Bridge.
A white Ford transit van was in a collision with a pedal cycle, causing the cyclist to fall from his bike. As a result the cyclist, a 42 year old local man, received treatment at Warrington Hospital for fractured ribs and a broken collar bone.
The van did not stop after the incident and police believe it is possible the driver may not have been aware of the collision. They are asking for the driver to make contact with them.
Additionally, police are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision. They should contact Warrington Traffic Unit on 0845 458 0000.
