School's exceptional care for pupils

A VILLAGE school at Warrington has won praise for the exceptional care it gives it pupils.
Glazebury CE Primary School gives outstand care, support and personal guidance to its pupils, according to education watchdogs Ofsted.
Pupils really enjoy their work and support each other, the inspectors say.
Behaviour in lessons, in the playground and around school is judged to be exemplary.
The inspectors’ report highlights the school’s strong leadership and gives a clear and accurate overview of the school’s strengths and areas for development and a purposeful desire for further improvement.
This contributes substantially to the above average standards and outstanding elements of personal care for pupils.
The inspectors praise the good quality of teaching and say that lessons are planned well and work is matched carefully to the needs of individual pupils.
Parents have a very high opinon of the school and its work in the local and wider community is outstanding.
Governors’ knowledge, experience and support are also key highlights.
The inspectors made two recommendations to help the school raise pupils’ standards further in numeracy and literacy.
Headteacher Elaine Morgan said: “We welcome all the comments by the inspectors and I am delighted with this positive report. Creating a safe environment where our pupils can learn as individuals and encourage each other is so important to us and we will strive to maintain our high standards.”
Chairman of governors Sandra Barker said: “I would like to congratulate everyone at school for this fantastic report. Our results are due to the excellent team work from everyone involved with the school.”
