The service was conducted by the Rector, Canon Michael Finlay and the Queen’s Representative was the Mayor, Coun Brian Axcell, who was accompanied by the Mayoress, Dr Irina Axcell.
Officers and members of the branch were joined by Darryl Slater-Smith, Northern Area director of the RAFA.
Officers and cadets from Air Training Corps squadrons 70 and 1330 formed a guard of honour and their banners escorted the New Standard.
The branch then held its scheduled monthly meeting at the Penketh Tavern where Mr Slater-Smith presented branch chairman Brian Murphy with the certificate of formation.
