NEWCHURCH Rose Queen Siobhan Beaudin had to dodge the showers when she was crowned at the annual event in Culcheth near Warrington.
Siobhan, a Year Six pupil at Newchurch Primary School, will move to Sale Grammar School in September.
She is looking forward to this as the school specialises in her favourite subjects the arts – visual and performing – and maths.
In her spare time Siobhan helps look after the family’s vast collection of guinea pigs and rabbits, plays the flute, attends gymnastics and trampolining clubs and a weekly
drama group. She has recently taken up roller skating.
Following her crowning their was a procession through the village.
