ANOTHER cannabis factory has been uncovered by police in Warrington.
Officers from Warrington Central Neighbourhood Policing Unit made the discovery after raiding a property in Clough Avenue.
The raid was led by Sergeant Paul Flynn and a team of officers assisted by members of the Targeted Patrol Team.
Once inside the property officers found around 300 Cannabis plants. The plants were seized and taken away for further forensic examinations.
Sgt Flynn said: “This is another significant find and we have been able to put a stop to it. We believe this particular cannabis factory could have yielded a significant output.
“The actions of local officers once again show the ongoing commitment of officers at Warrington Central NPU – and across the town – to target suspected criminal activity and anti-social behaviour within the local community.
“We are committed to tackling the issues that matter to local residents and the warrant is one of a number of warrants that we have executed across the Warrington Central area this year.
“The local community has told us that drug related activity is an issue of concern and we want to reassure residents that we are listening to what they are saying and taking their concerns seriously.”
It is the third cannabis factory to be uncovered in Warrington over the past month.
One was in a house in Station Road, Penketh and another in a former cinema in Powell Street, Latchford. Hundreds of cannabis plants have been seized.
