Charity appeal
THE Walton Lea Project, at Higher Walton, Warrington is appealing for people to give up some spare time to volunteer for the charity, which gives training and work to adults with learning difficulties.

Hospital lottery
WINNING numbers in the weekly lottery run by the League of Friends of Warrington Hospital were 4, 6, 10 and 11 – but no-one claimed the jackpot prize which will be rolled-over to next week. A £25 consolation prize went to a member of hospital staff.

Camera club
WARRINGTON and district Camera Club is hosting a special evening on making the best use of a digital SLR camera at Grappenhall Community Centre in Bellhouse Lane, Grappenhall on Monday.

Flower festival
A THREE-day flower festival starting on Thursday, May 13 will mark the 40th anniversary of the Church of the Ascension at Woolston, Warrington.

Support group
A SUPPORT group has been sent up at St Margaret’s Community Centre, Lindley Avenue, to help carers living in the Latchford and Westy areas. It meets on Tuesdays between 10am and 12 noon.
