Top award for businessman

WELL known Warrington businessman Ken Smart has been presented with Rotary’s highest honour in recognition of his outstanding charity work.
Ken of Smart Furnishings Ltd, of Stockton Heath, Warrington, has been presented witht he Paul Harris Fellowship by Runcorn Rotary Club, where he is a member.
He has donated towards Shelter Boxes and Water Boxes internationally for areas stricken by Tsunami’s and earthquakes e.t.c.
Nearer home he has supprted appeals made through Rotary Clubs for assistance during the recent floodings in Cumbria.
He has also donated to the general fund of the club enabling them to support a local boy suffering from Muscular Dystrophy by purchasing a “neater cheater” machine which will enable the boy to feed himself, thereby giving some degree of independence.
Mr Smart was granted honorary membership Runcorn Rotary Club for his constant support, which culiminated in him being awarded the Paul Harris Fellowship, so named after the founder of Rotary 106 years ago.
