Village queen in search of wheels

A VILLAGE Rose Queen is on the look-out for a vehicle which could be used as a float during the carnival season.
Siobhan Beaudin, the Rose Queen at Newchurch Parish Church, Culcheth needs a float to take part in the Croft and Glazebury carnivals.
Siobhan, a Year Six pupil at Newchurch Primary School, will move to Sale Grammar School in September. She is looking forward to this as the school specialises in her favourite subjects the arts – visual and performing – and maths.
In her spare time Siobhan helps look after the family’s vast collection of guinea pigs and rabbits, plays the flute, attends gymnastics and trampolining clubs and a weekly drama group. She has recently taken up roller skating.
Her mum Hazel Beaudin said: “Siobhan is very committed to her role as Rose Queen and intends to plan some great activities in the forthcoming year for all age ranges. She has even started to prepare for her stall at the Victorian Day – be prepared for some monkey business!
“One big ask – if anyone has a float type vehicle that she could use on the days of Croft and Glazebury carnivals it would be much appreciated.”
Her attendants are Charlotte Morris, Matthew Beaudin, Cara Slattery and Amy and Katie Groves.
