VANDALS set fire to a wheelie bin – and the blaze spread to the adjoining house.
The blaze was in South Dale, Penketh last night (Tuesday).
Firefighters used a hosereel jet to extinguish the fire and damage was minimal.
But a spokesman said householders were always advised to place wheelie bins well away from property to avoid flames spreading in the event of vandalism.
