David added: “We kicked off our Job Club in April of 2009 and the first session completed in early July. Over 60% of those that attended are now in work or full time training. The club is totally non-political and is open to job seekers of all political views and none.
“There are over 4,500 people unable to find a job in Warrington and we aim assist in skills building, interview preparation and technique. You will also meet some new people and local business leaders and employers.
“This will assist in networking building which is an important source of job information and skills building.”
The club is run by Karen Gould, the programme co-ordinator.
A Job Club member from Orford said: “It has been a privilege to have met truly wonderful people, who not only gave up their precious time to attend, but provided support and hopefully their continued encouragement as we all face the same roas..the knowledge, skills and experiences of
each of the Job Club programme team, has enabled this programme to be a great success. It inspired me so much.”
