Speed limit to be extended

A TEMPORARY 30mph speed limit on a major Warrington road is being extended to allow for completion of work on the renewal of road markings.
The original order, for the A56 Chester Road, Walton, from the borough boundary with Halton to its junction with Walton Road, ran until Monday (March 22).
But it will now remain in place until Monday April 19 to ensure completion of the works.
The restriction is required to enable Warrington Borough Council to renew the road markings and studs as part of the Speed Limit Review scheme.
