Homes refused
PLANNING chiefs have thrown out plans for five affordable homes on land at the junction of Grammar School Road and Longbutt Lane, Lymm where earlier proposals for a shop were also turned down.

Hospital lottery
WINNING numbers in the weekly lottery run by the League of Friends of Warrington Hospital were 3, 4, 15 and 16 – but the jackpot prize was not claimed. A consolation prize of £25 was awarded to a member of hospital staff.

In the pink
BANK Quay Bulls Under 17s rugby team has unveiled a new pink “away” kit which they have bought themselves to help raise money for Cancer Research UK – a campaign which has already raised more than 500.

Plan withdrawn
PLANS for the demolition of a shop unit in London Road, Stockton Heath, to make way for a new shop with an apartment over, have been withdrawn.

PROPOSALS to increase the number of properties in Phase Four of Chapelford Urban Village, Warrington from 12 to 19 have been given the go ahead by borough planning chiefs.

Haiti appeal
PUPILS, parents and staff at Burtonwood Primary School raised more than £1,200 for the Haiti earthquake appeal with a non-uniform day.
