AN environmental Question Time-style hustings is to be held with the Prospective Parliamentary Candidates for Warrington South.
Nick Bent (Labour), David Mowatt (Conservative) and Jo Crotty (Liberal Democrat) will all put their views at the event at The Friends Meeting House on March 25 at 7.30pm.
The event is hosted by Friends of the Earth Warrington and up to 100 people are expected to attend.
Friends’ co-ordinator Diane Porter said: “Local issues include the now abandoned closure of recycling sites – which we protested about – the proposed expensive incinerator in the face of council cutbacks and the council’s performance on CO2 etc.
“We hope to raise the profile of Friends of the Earth Warrington and get some commitments from our prospective new MPs.”
