Putting town on the map

A NEW interactive mapping system will help Warrington residents to find their nearest doctor’s surgery, school, library, community centre, etc from the comfort of their own home.
The system is on the borough council’s website – and enables visitors to switch from a road map to an aerial photography map at the click of a button.
Car parks, polling stations, recycling centres, police stations and much more are shown on the maps.
In addition, contact details for local councillors and those of neighbourhood co-ordinator’s are also available.
Coun Sharon Wilson, executive member for services to customers said: “Available at any time of the day or night, this facility is the start of our drive to make our services more accessible to and for customers. Watch this space.”
