Climate change workshop

2

A FREE workshop is to be held at Warrington to offer guidance to business on how to cope with climate change.
“Business resilience and risk management for a changing climate” is being organised by Business in the Community at the North West Development Agency headquarters at Renaissance House on Monday, February 8.
Climate change will have a significant impact upon businesses during the 21st century.
Temperatures will rise, with a range of impacts locally and globally, affecting how business is done in the North West and throughout supply chains across the world. In order to thrive, businesses will need to prepare for these impacts and adopt a robust process of risk management and planning.
The workshop will aim to give an overview of how future climate change impacts will affect North West businesses and help business leaders understand how markets will change and how the insurance industry is preparing.
There will be speakers from the NWDA, United Utilities, Co-operative Financial Services and Enworks, giving their perspective on climate change, outlining the actions they are taking and providing advice and guidance.
It will also introduce a risk management tool, with a practical session on risk planning for individual organisations.
Anyone who would like to attend the workshop should email [email protected]

  1. Save your money and your breath, this hoax is on its last legs. Climate change – the new name, invented when snow storms and freezing temperatures belied the name ‘global warming’ and enabled proponents to dodge embarassing facts. Read my lips – climate has always varied cyclically and naturally and will continue to do so.

Millions are being made by the so-called ‘scientists’ and dumbass politicians are grabbing the opportunity to ‘look good’ It would be comical if it wasn’t going to waste millions of your hard earned dollars (Pounds).

  2. So this is all free is it? So who pays the staff that organises and promotes it, to heat and light the building, refreshments, handouts travel etc. It may not cost anything to get into this event but I’ll bet the indirect cost will run into several thousands and of course the great British public will be footing the as usual. They’ve already wasted the best part of £100,000 of our money on a windmill that doesn’t work so what the heck, a few thousand more isn’t going to matter.

Perhaps while their at it they could invite the manager of Sainsbury’s to explain why the eco friendly (reduced packaging) refill pack of Kenco coffee is on sale in their stores for 58 pence more than the glass jar equivalent.
