FIVE students at Warrington have joined forces to help raise funds for the armed forces’ charity “Help for Heroes.”
The five – Hannah Jennings, Kelly Whitters, Lee Vaughan, Rhian Oxenham and Siwan Smith – are events management students at the Warrington campus of the University of Chester.
They will stage a Valentine’s “Fight for this Love” event at Warrington’s Student Union bar on Friday, February 12.
The theme will be armed forces fancy dress, with the venue filled with Valentine’s décor.
One of the highlights is expected to be a chocolate fountain.
Tickets can be obtained for £2 from the Student Union office from Monday (January 25)
Rhian Oxenham said: “Help for Heroes is a cause which is very much in the public eye at the moment and we feel it is a subject matter close to everyone’s heart especially as it is our boys and girls who are out there fighting for us and so we hope to raise quite a bit of money for them.”
