WARRINGTON Charities Trust will benefit from the Mayor’s Charity Appeal in 2010 wioth two fund-raising events in the pipeline.
The Mayoress of Warrington will host a ladies dinner at the Town Hall on Friday February 12. Tickets cost £27 and include a three course meal with a talk from guest speaker Sarah Tickle, a youth worker for the council.
Sarah will share her experiences of organising, fundraising and travelling to the Gambia with a group of local young people to take part in a building project as part of their Duke of Edinburgh Award.
A quiz night is also planned for Thursday March 18 at Bellhouse Community Centre, Grappenhall, at 7.30pm.
All proceeds from these two events will go to the Warrington Charities Trust which distributes grants to a wide range of local causes, supporting valuable initiatives and groups that work in the heart of the Warrington.
