WARRINGTON Town have signed Woodley Sports forward Gavin Salmon who bagged 24 goals last season.
The 29-year-old has had previous experience with Hyde and Droylsden and manager Joey Dunn sees him as a crucial signing to help Town tackle their forthcoming fixture back log.
“It is crucial we have strength in depth for the rest of the season as the games will be coming thick and fast once the weather improves.
“Gavin is a proven goal scorer and is very experienced at this level and I am made up he has agreed to sign for Warrington.
“There is no doubting the calibre of the players we have been bringing in this season and there may be more to come.
“With all the games to come we are going to need a big squad with quality across the park.”
It is the second signing Dunn has made from Woodley Sports this season, with Salmon teaming up with former team mate, central defender Levi Kennedy
Meanwhile with still no sign of action Dunn is keeping his players sharp with indoor training at Trafford Velodrome.
