Police hunt Orford robbers

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a woman was dragged to the ground in an attempted robbery on a Warrington street.
The attack happened as a woman walked along Alder Lane, Orford last Friday (Jan 8) evening at 5pm.
Two men approached her from behind. One grabbed her pony tail, pulled her to the floor and held her there as the other tried to steal her handbag.
The men were disturbed by a local resident and bolted towards the Orford Park area. They are described as being 6ft to 6ft 4in and were wearing dark clothing and gloves. One of the men had a local accent.
