FIRE crews were called out to two kitchens fires in Warrington over the weekend – both caused by electrical faults in the kitchen.
A two bedroom house on Queens Avenue, Glazebury, was damaged by fire on Saturday morning. It was initially thought that people were trapped inside but they had managed to escape before fire crews arrived.
Another fire started at a ground floor flat on Mallard Lane, Birchwood, on Sunday, just before 6pm, which destroyed the kitchen. A woman was treated for smoke inhalation at the scene but did not go to hospital.
