Hospital lottery
ONE lucky punter walked away with the £1,301 jackpot prize in the weekly lottery run by the League of Friends of Warrington Hospital. The winning numbers were 7, 11, 13 and 15. Three consolation prizes were also awarded in the run-up to Christmas – of £100, £50 and £25.

Caravan refused
PLANNING chiefs have refused a lawful development certificate for an existing static caravan with a conservatory, decking and garden area at Milverton Farm, Dam Lane, Woolston, Warrington.

Bach concert
WARRINGTON Musical Society and the Halton Orpheus Choir will join forces tonight (Saturday) to perform the Bach Christmas Oratorio at The Church of the Resurrection, Enfield Park Road. The concert starts at 7.30pm.

Refurbishment
A PROPOSED refurbishment scheme at the McDonalds restaurant at the Poplar 2000 truckstop, in Cliff Lane, Lymm has been approved by Warrington planners. The scheme includes extending the seating area and close one drive-through booth.

Memorial service
A SERVICE in memory of children who have died takes place at Warrington Parish Church on Monday (December 7) at 7.30pm. Loved one’s names will be read out and candles lit in their memory. Refreshments will be served at the end of the service.
